The Best TOP TEN CPM Ad Network

The other day I was talking about Google AdSense being a CPM or a CPC ad opportunity . Back in may I listed online income opportunities. Online ad network through which you can make money can be categories in three broad basis:

1.      Pay Per Click or PPC Ad Network

2.      Cost per mille or CPM Ad Network

3.      Paid Reviews Sites

Pay Per Click or PPC

PPC is an advertising model used on search engines, advertising networks, and content websites/blogs, where advertisers only pay when a user actually clicks on an ad to visit the advertiser’s website. Advertisers bid on keywords they predict their target market will use as search terms when they are looking for a product or service. When a user types a keyword query matching the advertiser’s keyword list, or views a page with relevant content, the advertiser’s ad may be shown. These ads are called a “Sponsored link” or “sponsored ads” and appear next to or above the “natural” or organic results on search engine results pages, or anywhere a webmaster/blogger chooses on a content page.

Cost Per Mille or CPM

Sometimes know as Cost per thousand or CPT is a commonly used measurement in advertising. Mille means thousand in Latin; therefore, CPM means cost per thousand. Online advertising can be purchased on the basis of what it costs to show the ad to one thousand viewers. CPM estimates the cost per 1000 views of the ad.

Paid Review Sites

Affiliate sites where advertisers and Publishers meet. Publisher gets paid writing reviews about advertiser’s products or services. These sites best tools to make money for a publisher who don’t have targeted organic search visitors or heavy traffic on his/her site.

TOP TEN CPM Based Ad Network

Even though your site may have enough daily unique visitors rolling in, but it is possible that they are not clicking your ads that you have place on your site as they visit you frequently. Visitors who reach your site through organic search engine results for targeted keywords generally clicks ad (it’s a general perception and may be wrong, but I always believe in this statement). So those who have daily unique visitor and handsome amount of traffic to their site may be interested in placing CPM based ad on their site. I’m giving here Top ten CPM based ad network list; I wish it will help you make some good money out of it.

if place these CPM based ads , you will get paid on per thousand page impression no matter any one click on these ads or not. CPM  ad network pays somewhere average between US$3 to  US$5.

1. Value Click Media

2. Brust Media

3. Casale Media

4. Real Tech Network

5. Inter Click

6. Real Cast Media

7. Tribal Fusion

8. Canep Media

9. Euros 4 Click

10. Direct Media Exchange

How To Make e-Book Cover in PhotoShop 7.0

One thing which I want to clear first is that I’m not a hot spot graphic designer, but yes I know the basic and have that little creativity in me to draw things beautifully. I was keen to create e-book cover featuring me on face of it, I Googled the keyword “how to create an ebook cover in PhotoShop” and found that there are not enough article which can really help one to make an e-book with PhotoShop 7.0. Instantly I decided that I will try to learn it, will write a post about it and try to squeeze some Google juice out of it.

Let’s see how to create an e-book Cover on PhotoShop

We will do it in three easy steps;

  1. Draw a 3 D e-book Cover
  2. Draw Main face Cover and Side Spine Cover
  3. Fix Face Cover and Side spine into e-book layout.

First of all you will need a 3 D e-book layout with shadow effects like the one in the picture below.

Rather explaining how to create it lets share a PSD file with you to download

Download e-book cover PSD here

Now we need to draw 1. Face Cover and 2. Side Spine Cover

Am giving you here PSD for Face cover and Side Spine Cover

Download Blank Face Cover

Download Side Spine Cover

- Create a fancy title; make some cool tag line on a simple gradient background

- Make out Side Spine here are few steps.

Now the only thing left is to fix the main cover and Side Spine cover to the e-book cover layout.

Let see how to do it.

  • Select The Face Cover Image
  • Press The Control Button and ‘T’ at the same time
  • Right Click on the image and select ‘Skew’

Drag each corner as explain above until it fits in the corner of e-Book Cover Layout.

That’s it don’t expect much from a Make money online blogger.

New WordPress 2.7 Will Have Automated WP Upgrade Feature

Enough of fighting with WordPress Upgrades every other month. Our new WordPress 2.7 will have this new feature which will allow us to upgrade every WordPress upgrade afterwards automatically within our admin panel.

What is New “Crazyhorse” WordPress Administration Panel?

According to The Blog Herald:

The new “crazyhorse” WordPress Administration Panels interface, a new Write Post Panel that allows dragging and dropping of meta boxes so you can rearrange your writing surface, the ability to hide columns on the content index pages, inline editing of posts and Pages on the new content index pages, comments XMLRPC API, sticky posts, automatic WordPress Plugin installation and integrated Plugin browser, HTTP Only auth cookies, and much more. The MOST exciting features are the ability to automatically upgrade WordPress and the total revamping of the Comments Panel to include replying to comments, keyboard shortcuts (hot keys) for managing comments, and threaded comments to help you keep track of the conversation.

Other Features of WordPress 2.7

Ryan Boren unveiled in his latest some new cool features of WordPress 2.7

  • New admin UI based on the crazyhorse experimental UI branch with new menus and navigation
  • New edit post page that allows dragging and dropping of Meta boxes. Boxes can be expanded and collapsed as before and now also completely hidden.
  • Ability to hide columns on the content index pages
  • Inline editing of posts and pages on the content index pages
  • Comments XMLRPC API (Who wants comment moderation on the iPhone? Me.)
  • Reply to comments from the admin
  • Keyboard hot keys for managing comments
  • Threaded Comments and new wp_list_comments() API
  • Sticky Posts
  • Automatic plugin install and integrated plugin browser
  • HTTPOnly auth cookies
  • New HTTP request API
  • A new SSH2 filesystem abstraction for updates and installs over sftp

Can you switch over to WordPress 2.7 bypassing previous upgrade WordPress 2.6.2?

Many of us not taking WordPress Upgrade 2.6.2 seriously and waiting to switch over directly to WordPress 2.7, but it is advisable to upgrade to 2.6.2 before heading over to new version as the security flaw this update repairs applies to all PHP applications, not just WordPress, and specifically targets those with open registration, which includes multiple blogger blogs and registration for comments. All are seriously recommended to download WordPress 2.6.2 and upgrade immediately.

So as I always say just wait for the whole new WordPress Blogging Experience.

itching, burning, and irritation of the eyes, sometimes called “dry eye syndrome,” is one of the most common problems treated by eye care professionals. I advise all my blogger friends out there, please take care as too much stress on eye and working long hour on computer is harmful for eyes. It is essential to have regular breaks so that your eyes can have a rest.

Hope it will be all right soon.

Google AdSense Ads Are CPC or CPM - Can You Opt Price Model

Couple of days back one of my friend called me up and asked that he has good amount of traffic to his site but he hate putting CPC (Cost Per Click) ads instead he is interested in putting up CPM (Cost per Impression) ad inventory, is there any way that he can opt only for CPM advertising ad inventory of Google AdSense.

His question is valid; bloggers dishearten when they sees ad stats like 7000 Page Impression 10 clicks.  They wish if some one could pay them on per page impression basis. Google AdSense has any answer to their quarries?

Before we precede any further let me explain what CPC and CPM Price Models are?

Cost per click (CPC) is the amount of money an advertiser pays search engines and other Internet publishers for a single click on its advertisement that brings one visitor to its website.

Cost per impression (CPM) is frequently used in advertising to represent cost per thousand. Each time an advertisement loads onto a users screen, the ad server may count that loading as one impression. Publisher gets paid after an ad gets thousand page impressions. So the big question is can you opt CPM or CPC price Model on their AdSense Ad Units. Actually the rights which an AdSense Publishers can opt are:

  1. Display Text Ads Only, Image Ads Only, or Text or Image Ads (default).
  2. Display Ad unit in a variety of sizes and formats

But a publisher can’t choose between AdSense Price models CPC or CPM.

AdSense follows a CPC Price Model but there are AdWords Advertiser who bid on CPM price model, so if ad unit you are displaying on your blog/site is based CPM price model then you get paid on CPM basis, that is why few publishers wonder they can’t see any outgoing click from ad unit but they get paid by Google, the reason being they are showing up ads based on CPM price model.

Both image and text ad units are based on CPC and CPM basis, but you don’t have liberty to choose price model for your ad units.  Which ad unit will appear on your blog/site is decided by ad auction unit. In order for a CPM ad or an image CPC ad to win in the ad unit auction and appear on your site, it has to produce an effective CPM greater than the sum of the individual text ads that would otherwise appear. For an image ad to appear on your site, it has to produce an effective CPM greater than the sum of the individual text ads. This is called Ad Ranking system of AdWords.

Few publishers thinks that AdSense image Ad units are based on CPM method, but its not true Image ads are based on both CPC and CPM price model. But you are recommended to opt both text and Image to get the maximum benefit from your AdSense Ad inventory. If you choose only Image ads to display on your blog/site you might also see public service ads if there is a limited inventory of image ads relevant to your site content. So better you opt for both Text and image Ad Units.

Hope it will help you understand appearance and payment system of AdSense ads on your site.

I will explain some other method similar to contextual ads beside Google AdSense. Keep looking this place.

Who is Right - Mr. Chow or Mr. Rowse

Recently I sign up with Amazon Affiliate to make some more bucks. It’s been a couple of weeks since I installed Amazon Widget to see how it goes, but to grab some more information what other has their say on it, I  find two very interesting posts about Amazon Affiliate. Back in June 2007 John Chow wrote on his blog “Why I Am Not An Amazon.com Affiliate”. He gave some rational reason how useless Amazon is for a MMO (make Money Online) blog. In reply Darren Rowse Posted a post “9 Reasons Why I AM An Amazon Affiliate”. Rowse presented his side of view about Amazon Affiliation, In support of Amazon he gave 9 reasons and suggested that even a make money online niche blog can also use Amazon to earn money by writing reviews and selling Amazon products on blog.

What John Chow Says about Amazon Affiliate

  1. Amazon offer only 4% commission on sales which he think is not very high.
  2. Amazon products are also available in the store near you, he believe product should be Exclusively at Amazon, so that you can take advantage of less competition.
  3. There is no passive income with Amazon, while other network pays you life long commission on income of referrals
  4. Amazon Products are not specifically targeted to Make Money online blog.

What are Darren Rowse 9 Reason

  1. Amazon is a trusted Brand
  2. You can actually increase your commission after reaching a specific sales point.
  3. You don’t just earn a commission on the product that sell on your blog, but you earn a commission on anything that a person buys within 24 hours of you sending them to Amazon.
  4. Easily Integrated
  5. Various payment options Amazon.com gift certificate/card, direct deposit, by check.
  6. Small Payments add up to a huge Total amount. ( that not a big point that you made here Rowse)
  7. It’s an Investment that Matures Over Time.
  8. The Holidays are Boom Time ( he is happy that he is making huge money with Amazon)
  9. Wide Array of Products.

My take on above.

So tell me with whom you want to go. Well if you really asked me Darren Reasons are smart but john Chow’s reasons are more practical. Believe me it’s really difficult for a MMO blog to get money from Amazon’s Pocket.

Still how you can make money with Amazon?

Sign up with Amazon Affiliate. Write reviews about Amazon Products on your blog, smartly provide affiliate link in reviews send them to Amazon and pray that they buy some product over there. If they will buy a book of $ 25 you will get a commission of 4% on it which will be $ 1, but you if are lucky enough to sell a product of $ 2500 you will get $ 100 and that would be a great compensation for your efforts.
